A simple beef broth-based injection for brisket and beef ribs. Adds moisture and umami without overpowering the beef flavor. Many competition cooks use a variation of this.

Ingredients

  • Beef Broth (low sodium)
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Soy Sauce
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper

Steps

    Warm broth gently (do not boil).

    Dissolve salt and mix in all seasonings.
  3. 3
    Strain through a fine mesh to avoid clogging the injector.
  4. 4
    Inject in a 1-inch grid pattern across the flat and point.
  5. 5
    Refrigerate at least 1 hour before smoking.
