A simple beef broth-based injection for brisket and beef ribs. Adds moisture and umami without overpowering the beef flavor. Many competition cooks use a variation of this.
Ingredients
- Beef Broth (low sodium)
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Soy Sauce
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
Steps
- 1Warm broth gently (do not boil).
- 2Dissolve salt and mix in all seasonings.
- 3Strain through a fine mesh to avoid clogging the injector.
- 4Inject in a 1-inch grid pattern across the flat and point.
- 5Refrigerate at least 1 hour before smoking.
